VAP11N-300 has been upgraded to 3.0.17.5.21, and connect to router successfully, but if the channel of router has been changed, why VAP11N-300 can’t connect router SSID automatically?

New firmware add “The configuration parameters of WiFi repeater security is synchronized with source hotspot” function, VAP11N-300 is configured one hotspot, if you tick the box to enable this feature, there is no need to reboot the device, it will automatically connect the hotspot that has been changed channel.  But there is also a drawback to enabling this feature, when VAP11N-300 disconnect with the hotspot, It needs to re-scan the hot information to connect, so the entire reconnection time may be as long as 10 seconds, this time is very risky for project applications.

If the channel of hotspot is fixed, it is recommended not to enable this feature.  In this case, after VAP11N-300 disconnect the hotspot, there is no need to re-scan, it will quickly reconnect the hotspot.  So it is recommend to fix the hotspot channel, otherwise it need to open “The configuration parameters of WiFi repeater security is synchronized with source hotspot” function.
